Tender and juicy chicken cooked in the skillet topped with lemon honey garlic glaze! A little bit of tang from the lemon, plus the sweet honey and garlic all come together to add big flavor to this simple 30 minute meal.
1 pound boneless chicken thighs, breasts will also work
2 Tablespoons butter
¼ cup olive oil
½ cup lemon juice
2 cloves minced garlic
¼ cup honey
1 Tablespoon soy sauce
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
In a medium sized skillet add the butter and allow to melt over medium high heat. Add the chicken thighs, or breasts, to the skillet add salt and pepper to taste. Cook for 3-4 minutes on each side or until chicken is no longer pink.
In a small bowl whisk olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, honey, soy sauce and Italian seasoning. Pour the sauce over the top of the chicken pieces and cook for a few more minutes to allow the garlic to cook and for the sauce to reduce and thicken. Check that the chicken is thoroughly cooked.
Serve hot with fresh lemon slices and sprinkled with fresh parsley.
