Robyn Danielsson, Director of Sales says, “While plenary sessions are often a popular start to the day, follow up breakout sessions and recreational activities can really foster team building.”

Robyn, loves having a position that allows her to promote the Okanagan and all that it encompasses. “I like to focus on the big picture, and when working with our clients it’s important to understand the overarching objective for their event. Once I understand this, I enable my team to ensure that we collectively deliver an exceptional experience.”

“Whether you arrive at our door by road transportation or land by helicopter, our team are here to cater to your every need. We’re approachable and open to any ideas that will make your corporate event unforgettable. It was entertaining when a Lamborghini car club group actually used their Lamborghinis as golf carts and another company raced helicopters for a bit of fun corporate bonding!

Let your imagination go wild - if you can dream it – we can make it happen!

A new trend in food service gaining popularity, is the strolling dinner concept. Instead of sitting down for dinner, mingle amongst a variety of themed-based food stations. Our new indoor-outdoor banquet space is perfect for this. Pig roasts and steak & lobster barbecues are always a big hit, along with the Okanagan experience of local food and wine pairings.”

Robyn adds “One of our big advantages here at Predator Ridge is our unique ability for clients to use our resort as ‘base-camp’ during their stay in the Okanagan. We have plenty of meeting rooms, we can provide food and recreation services, along with an abundance of creativity to ensure we can meet and exceed our clients’ needs.”

Robyn holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Entrepreneurial Management from Royal Roads in Victoria. “I’ve been at Predator for a year, following many years in corporate, I now have the privilege of leading a team of dynamic individuals with the opportunity to harness their creative energy to align with our clients wish lists… this is what defines our success here at Predator Ridge.”

"My job is all about creating, building and sustaining relationships,” says corporate guru Janine Collard, Head of Event Sales and anchor for the team since 2003. “One of my strengths is to anticipate the clients needs. I thoroughly review the multitude of layers of any planned event, making sure we are aligned with our client’s wishes. Today’s clients are more sophisticated, their needs have increased and dietary restrictions are more particular. As liaison between resort staff and the meeting planners, I make sure every minute detail is addressed.”

Fifth generation from Enderby, Janine knows the Okanagan intimately. As event coordinator at the Vance Creek Hotel, SilverStar Mountain Resort, and later executive assistant to Judd Buchanan, chairperson of the Canadian Tourism Commission, she gained a wealth of experience and boundless enthusiasm for providing exceptional, detailed personal service. “I get great satisfaction by leading the team to expertly execute an event. We also have the pleasure to work with interesting people from all walks of life, like Prince Albert of Monaco, Wayne Gretzy and Tom Cochrane, to name a few.”

Janine is a passionate ambassador for the Okanagan lifestyle. The reason is obvious as she describes Predator Ridge’s stunning new 6,000sq.ft. banquet space, 50 per cent of which is outdoors.

Another detail oriented, and newest member of the team, Dawn Sheldon, takes care of business development as it relates to all groups visiting the resort, bringing a background in high-end hospitality and five-star client service to the table. After studying Hotel and Restaurant Management at Camosun College in Victoria, Dawn worked in restaurant management overseas in England, and later, the Four Seasons Hotel in Whistler. Then back to Royal Roads in Victoria to complete a Bachelor of Commerce in Entrepreneurial Management. After several years as a marketing manager for a Calgary based company, she found British Columbia calling her home.

“When thinking about our groups and their time here at Predator Ridge, I ask myself what we can do to make their event more of an unforgettable experience; how do we turn a meeting into next year’s corporate golf tournament? a wedding into annual family reunions? all whilst building long lasting relationships in the process. I amalgamate my marketing and hospitality skills to create a detailed picture of what they can expect. We must anticipate our clients’ needs and wishes, and surpass their expectations, giving them reason to want to come back time and time again. We are an amazing group of three women, always creative in our approach. Robyn brings out our individual strengths and facilitates us working in a collaborative and unique way, allowing us to consider every aspect of our clients’ stay, ensuring we exceed all their expectations,” says Dawn.

This destination resort breeds creativity. It’s beautiful, secluded, an oasis where corporate clients can interact with each other without the distractions of the city, hunker down together and work as a team. It’s also a great place for a family reunion, a wedding, a yoga retreat, golf tournament, and so, so much more.
